1. Introduction

This document contains information about the technologies that allow this Application (foodensemble.com) to achieve the purposes described below. These technologies allow the Data Controller to collect and store information (for example, through the use of Cookies) or to use resources (for example, by running a script) on the User’s device when the User interacts with this Application.

For simplicity, in this document such technologies are collectively referred to as “Tracking Tools”, unless there is reason to differentiate.

2. What are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that websites visited by the User send to their device (computer, smartphone, tablet), where they are stored and then retransmitted to the same websites on subsequent visits. Cookies can be “first-party” (set directly by the visited website) or “third-party” (set by a different domain).

3. Tracking Tools Used

3.1 Necessary Technical Cookies

This Application uses Cookies commonly referred to as “technical” or other similar Tracking Tools to carry out activities strictly necessary to ensure the operation or provision of the Service. These Cookies do not require the User’s consent under applicable law.

Duration: browsing session or limited persistence according to technical requirements.

3.2 Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.)

Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Ltd. that uses Cookies to collect statistical data on User browsing behavior. Data collected includes: pages visited, time spent, geographic origin (city, latitude and longitude), browser and device information, and session data. This data is aggregated and anonymized before being used to generate statistical reports.

Cookies set: _ga (2 years), _ga_<ID> (2 years), _gid (24 hours), _gat (1 minute), _gac_<ID> (90 days).

Personal Data processed: Tracking Tools; Usage Data; number of Users; city; device information; session statistics; latitude (city); longitude (city); browser information.

Place of processing: Ireland, United States — Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Google Analytics is activated only with the User’s consent via the cookie banner. The User’s IP address is anonymized (IP Anonymization feature) before any processing.

3.3 Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.)

Meta Pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel) is a tracking tool provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. that measures the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, monitors conversions, and creates custom audiences for remarketing activities. The Pixel tracks the actions Users take on the site (page views, clicks, form submissions, purchases) and links them to Meta profiles (Facebook/Instagram) when the User is logged into those platforms.

Cookies set: _fbp (3 months), _fbc (2 years), fr (3 months), sb (2 years), datr (2 years).

Personal Data processed: Tracking Tools; Usage Data; actions performed on the site; pages visited; device information.

Place of processing: Ireland, United States — Privacy Policy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/

Meta Pixel is activated only with the User’s consent via the cookie banner.

3.4 Google Tag Manager (Google Ireland Ltd.)

Google Tag Manager (GTM) is a tag management system provided by Google Ireland Ltd. GTM does not install Cookies on its own nor does it collect personal data. It acts as a container that facilitates the loading and management of tracking scripts and tags — including Google Analytics and Meta Pixel — without requiring direct changes to the site’s code. GTM solely orchestrates the activation of the other tracking tools described above, which operate according to their respective policies and only with the User’s consent.

The use of GTM alone does not involve the collection of Personal Data or the installation of Cookies.

Place of processing: Ireland, United States — Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

  • Reject all non-necessary Cookies
  • Customize preferences by Cookie category (necessary, statistics, marketing)

Consent can be withdrawn at any time by clicking the “Manage Cookies” link in the site’s footer, or by deleting Cookies directly from the browser settings. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent given before its withdrawal.
